The entire approximately 800-kilometer river system is managed on a catch & release basis, ensuring sustainable fishing and exceptional quality of the fish stock. It is one of the largest protected fishing areas in South America and a true fly fishing sanctuary in the Amazon.

Peacock bass are considered one of the most powerful fish that can be caught with a fly rod in tropical waters.
