The Iriri River is considered one of the most prestigious and scenic fly fishing destinations in the Brazilian Amazon. Its crystal clear waters offer exceptional sight fishing opportunities, a rarity in the tropical jungle.
The program is exclusively limited to eight anglers per week, with over 100 kilometers of pristine fishing waters available, ensuring peace, privacy and a top-notch fishing experience.
Iriri offers one of the richest ranges of fish species in the Amazon, allowing for diverse and technically demanding fishing challenges. Target species include peacock bass, payara, wolfish, bicuda, pacu (three species), matrinxã, surubí, redtail catfish, jungle drum (corvina) and many others. This diversity makes Iriri an ideal destination for both experienced fly fishermen and adventurers looking for trophy catches in a tropical environment. Kendjam is the perfect destination in the Amazon jungle for this type of experience. The river flows over an extensive granite bed, allowing for excellent visibility and effective fishing in shallow water. Anglers can target a variety of jungle fish species with class 5 to 8 fly rods and use surface flies, which further increases the dynamics of the fishing.
Kendjam offers a unique fishing experience thanks to the combination of professional, highly qualified guides who speak English, Spanish and Portuguese and their extensive knowledge of jungle fishing. The traditional knowledge of the indigenous Kayapo guides is also added value, creating a very personal and authentic experience.
The lodge operates during the best period of low and clear water, which lasts from June to September. During the dry season, the water is at its lowest and clearest, providing excellent fishing conditions throughout the entire river system and its many tributaries.

Kendjam Lodge offers a unique all-inclusive program. Accommodation consists of five wooden double cabins with comfortable beds, private bathrooms, hot water and 24-hour electricity. Guests will be delighted by the excellent cuisine served in an elegant common area for socializing and dining. Satellite internet and daily laundry are also available.
For the most adventurous anglers, a one or two-day nature camp is also organized, providing access to the most remote and pristine parts of the Iriri River, both upstream and downstream from the lodge. It is a tented camp with basic facilities, set in the completely wild and untouched environment of Kendjama.
